If Indian Politics had to be a cricket game, Amit Shah rightly is the game’s man of the match. A team led by Captain Modi found an able match winner in Amit shah- THE MIRACLE MAN in UP. BJP won 73 of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh which was the key charge of Shah. Now that the ruling party has to be a at the centre for good 5 years, it indeed is a 5 years test game and the party has officially nominated Amit Shah the lead man- Party President, BJP.
In December 2002, when Narendra Modi first crushed Congress to win a record 126 seats in the 182- member Gujarat Assembly, Shah won by the highest margin of votes, over 1.58 lakh, even higher than Modi himself. Shah had proven his mettle and also carried it on in 2007, when he bettered the margin of victory, winning by 2.35 lakh votes from his constituency, Sakhrej. In 2012 Shah was appointed BJP general secretary and thus was given charge of crucial Uttar Pradesh.
In 2014, the stock-broker turned politician is now the youngest – ever president of India’s ruling Bhartiya Janata Party. If BJP came out as the winner, Amit Shah has been the silent shining star of the win. Shah has been a close confidante of Narendra Modi and is a smart man who knew how to market his achievements.
Shah is known to be the keen strategist and organizer. His appointment as the party president shows how close is he to the likes of Rajnath Singh and PM, Narendra Modi himself. Networking, they say is one of Shah’s biggest quality.
Shah is also famously known to be meddled with controversies, yet he has rose ranks. The all important man now has got a Z-security cover now.
If the landslide victory in UP in the recent General elections are anything to go by, the party’s think tank has very rightly chosen Amit Shah as the Party President. The strategist he has proven to be van to the party wonders in the Coming state elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and including J&K.
After reaping the harvest at the Centre by playing the Gujarat Model of which PM, Narendra Modi and now Party President is part of, BJP clearly wants to replicate the same in other states.
Only time will tell how well Amit Shah performs and has it been a healthy bet by the party to appoint him as the party supreme. But for now he has sent alarm bells in the rival camps.
