Today A Poor Farmer Hanged Himself In Front Of Police And Politicians. And All They Did Was WATCH!

“Andhero se apni is kadar darta hai who….ki ghar kisika jalakar bhi roshni karta hai who…”

Gajendra Singh was brought dead to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital at 3:00 PM today when Chief Minister of Delhi was addressing a rally at Jantar Mantar. Gajendra Singh was from Dausa, Rajasthan and his only fault was that he was a farmer of an agrarian country called India. He wrote in his suicide note:

“I am a farmer’s son. All our crops were ruined due to the untimely rain and so my father threw me out of the house. I have three children. Friends please tell me how can I go back home? Jai jawan! Jai kisaan!”

The news channels are still showing how he climbed the tree at Jantar Mantar and told the thousands of people there, the media and the policeman that he is going to hang himself. He was there for two hours and still no one came forward to save him. The news channels are also showing various party members blaming each other for this. They are also showing how all the politicians right from Ajay Makan, to Manish Sisodia to Kejriwal to Rahul Gandhi are rushing towards the hospital where the dead body of the farmer is lying with no hope and expectations.

The Chief Minister of Delhi is blaming the Delhi Police, saying that the Delhi police was not under his control. But was he himself not under control of his consciousness?

The media is wondering why no one helped the farmer right from the policemen to the politicians who were present there. And I am wondering why the media were still holding their cameras while all this was happening?

Nero was a roman emperor who was ill, known much because of a story which states that he burnt his prisoners to provide light for his guests at his party. So, as Rural reporter, P. Sainath states in his documentary ‘Nero’s guests’, aren’t we the same like Nero’s guests? Aren’t we just illuminating these poor farmers to enjoy the party called ‘our life’?

Reports, Statistics… no I really don’t want to talk about that. You can get them on Google if you wish to. I just want you to watch this documentary and decide yourself…

Are you Nero’s guest? And if you are not, then don’t you have a problem with Nero’s Guests?

The media have reached Gajendra singh’s village to find out what he and his family was going through. Does each farmer in our country has to die to make us realize what they are going through?
