Here’s A Boy Who Travels 80 Km Daily To Prove Everyone Wrong About Himself

Let me fly and reach the top of the world

Neither chain me to your stereotypes

Nor show me my boundaries of fate

Because my fate accepts my will

It’s not the other way round

A 17 year old hearing impaired child, Krishan tries to express his feelings of dejection that he faces whenever he attempts to explain people about his dream of becoming an IT engineer. Krishan is born and raised in a loving and caring family where both of his parents are hearing impaired.

His father is self-sufficient and is the owner of a sweet shop whereas his mother is a caring housewife.

For Krishan, his father is a star who’ll never let any stumbling block come in his life. Despite being hearing impaired, Krishan dares to dream to be on the top of the world. Familiar with the neglected state of deaf people, his father was worried about him and would never encourage him to pursue his dreams.

Though he admires his dad a lot but he always wondered why his dad would never show any fervor whenever when it comes to his ‘Big Dreams’.

Walking through the harsh phase of life, he realizes his father’s reasons for lack of support. Even in his school, he can see a barrier between his teachers and him. The connectivity, the bond that he yearns for is certainly missing because of the deformity. Sometimes the teachers would struggle to understand him and other times some would get frustrated to the extent of raising their hands.

The hard tale of melancholy of his life just started with it.  The outside world was far crueler than this. Lack of medium of communication would even make him get physically abused by strangers. Either people pitying him or impatient people yelling at him surrounded him.

He never had felt different unless the people around him tried to instill in him the boundaries of his ill fate. For him, he was normal, and he wanted to live a life like one. Like any other teenager, he wanted to make his father proud but sooner it dawned on him that ‘deafness’ is the label that has been imposed on him.

Life was draining out his will to live; he was moving in circles all night and had almost given up his will to live.

We, the so called educated people of the society, call them ‘deaf and dumb’.  Who gave us the right to label them?

Who are we to decide someone else’s fate?

The moment a hearing impaired person is born in the world, everyone’s gleaming eyes took a rapid transition into sympathetic ones.

But did anyone ever consider how Krishan felt when you casually crushed his dream just because he was hearing impaired?

Most of you reading this must have felt that just because other people underestimated Krishna, it would have been the end for him.

But NO.

Fortunately, Krishan somehow managed to turn his pain into his power. To prove the society wrong, he is determined to pursue his own dreams.

Krishan joined our organization with the fiery spirit in his eyes to become something in his life. Every single day, without fail, he travels from Sonepat to our office in Pitampura, only with one motive, to prove this world that he can become an IT engineer.

“Now he is stronger than you know, a heart of steel starts to grow.”

We seek your help to reach these kids.  Your contribution will give a voice to the silent souls and a power to express themselves which will help them to move a step ahead in their life. Please visit this link and show your support for our initiative.
