We all are born with different abilities, talents, face, race, mind and most importantly GENDER. Yes, the gender makes all differences null and void in front of it, and makes itself of prime importance in the social order. We, the citizens of India think that “WOMEN” are a weaker sect of our society, and this mentality of people has been carried forward since the ancient times till date. Thus, we consider them as an extremely feeble part of the world. This conventionality of us has led to the current situation of women in India.
We should not take such decisions for the society and create an image where there is an inequality in every field that we go. Somewhere or the other we are responsible for this orthodox thinking of ours, and later on we blame the system for favoring women. According to the so called “LEADERS” of our country, women are given privileges and reservations in all the present fields as they are the weaker fragment of our nature. But these people do not realize that by doing this, they are making them even more dependent and feeble, as all this leads to is nothing, but lack of skillful work and less job opportunities for the others. It has become unjust for men as the capable ones are not getting employed just because of these kinds of reservations which makes us nothing but weak.
One of the major reasons for all this is “HYPOCRISY.” Let me give you a very basic example:
Suppose two men in a train sit on the seats “reserved” for women by mistake and a lady enters in there, she directly starts insulting the 2 men in the whole lot of crowd and says, “You shameless men, can’t you see these are the reserved seats!! Huh!! .” Poor men, they do not say a word and go away from there. And when the same women with her friend sits on a senior citizens seat and starts chatting with her, and when an elderly gentleman enters, she does not give a damn to the person and says “ Ahh! Its ok, he can find some other place!” And this is how HYPOCRISY works now days.
Many of these flaws do not let the talented ones to come out, shine and do something for the human race. I would also like to mention one more thing. No matter how modern we are, there is some kind of a thinking that is holding us back from making these 2 sects of human race equal, and another example of this is very nasty but very true.
I do not know how to put this situation in front of you all, but being straightforward is the only option I have. The women who get into the vicious business of sex tourism are always referred to as the victims of poverty and helplessness and do not take up this thing as a choice but as a fate. But when men who become criminals they are referred as the “MONSTROUS” race of humanity who will always be filthy and pervert. This is not true at all. No one becomes a “criminal” by choice but it is the conditions that make them do it. These women say that they do it for their living, but I have never heard that any criminal has been given a chance to even speak up and give his point of view.I do not mean to say that these acts are the once that should be practiced when helpless, but we all are responsible for such dirty conditions in our country and we are also the solution for it.
It does not mean that men are the saints of our society. It only means that it is the fault of both men and women. But together we as one unit can solve this problem in a mature and sensible manner. All this can be eradicated only and only by one means, and that is “EDUCATION”. Yes literacy and knowledge can drive out all such dark sides of our society and get us all at ONE LEVEL. This plague like cancer of inequality can only be treated by educating each and every one instead of reservation. Thus, we the citizens of India should take up the responsibility and change the world to become a better place to live.
