MAHA BREAKUP of Indian Politics – The move on though is unlikely

Undoubtedly, untouchability is a malpractice. It should not be allowed though it still prevails in the rural India and also in cities like Jaipur. The public still believes in it, but the public representatives are quite noble in thoughts. These representatives never believe in untouchability. They may criticise the opponents for every action whether personal or professional but can team up with them at anytime for the lust of power. The most recent example being the Nitish-Lalu Alliance, where the greatest opponents came together to stop the ‘Communal Forces’. I wonder why the public about whom both these leaders are so protective about, vote for the communal forces!

The masses of Maharashtra now have a very wide range of parties to chose from like Congress, BJP, Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, the MNS, other regional minnow party who just add numbers to tally and the independents apart, as the election has more or less turned into mall where there are many options by the virtue of the breakup of the alliances. The breakups too are like that of girl and boy relation where the partners are accusing one other for cheating, disrespecting and so on. The parties have issues of their own and their ego is way more precious than anything else.

The Sena-BJP alliance breakup has led to clear indication that how the ego has been the driving force in the breakup. The BJP which is riding high on its thumping victory in the Lok Sabha Elections is looking on to cash the most on the so claimed Modi Wave. They demanded a 50:50 ratio and where not ready to settle for a lower seat share. The BJP top brass failed the tactic to tackle the situation amicably and it led to breakup. The reason I sight for the same is that the BJP severely needs a good political leader who is related to ground and also has a good grip in the political circles of Maharashtra.

The Shiv Sena on the other hand too wished to grab the most of anti-incumbency factor that is prevailing in the state. The party that rates itself as the elder brother of BJP in Maharashtra did fail to deliver the responsibility of elder brother towards stubborn younger sibling. The Sena claims to work on the principles of Balasaheb but they failed to imbibe the patriarch’s best quality that if anyone turned upto Matoshree with a request, the Hindu Hriday Samrat use to agree to it, irrespective to his prior decisions. The leader who helped a senior politician from the opposite ruling party in his son’s matter, would have surely agreed to his 25 year old partner for seat sharing ratio.

The breakup though has made a great gateway for the MNS, as Raj Thackeray if is able to fetch 40 odd seats in a fractured assembly, he will surely become the king-maker in the state assembly. The MNS did make a considerable dent in the Sena-BJP vote bank in the last election. Learning from the past, both BJP-Sena are taking every measure not to be vulnerable to the vote cutter MNS. The BJP would look out for MNS if it is able to get get 100 or 110 seats, whereas the Shiv-Sena if reaches triple figure would surely prefer to collaborate with the estranged cousin.

The Congress after the loss in the polls is quite low on morale and it also faces the anti-incumbency factor. The only leader that the party has is Prithviraj Chavan who is more like Manmohan Singh, an educated, honest person with no political experience or ground knowledge. The Congress would again here fight for its pride then to win the elections. They alleged the NCP for cheating with them on the BJP but after that they have been mute and nor have they openly tried to woo other parties.

The fifth but not the least angle is NCP, the one who was alleged to be cheating on the BJP too served its ties with the Congress over the seat sharing ratio. The party tainted with allegations of corruption is hoping to perform well in the upcoming elections. The NCP could after the polls again meet Congress and form an alliance as they have just broken up but not moved on. The BJP too is an alternative for the NCP. It would be a great reality show of politics by the lust driven parties to form new alliances and govern the state for the so called “Benefit Of Public” or “In The Best Interest Of Public”.
